Jessica, We really needed a "new Tread" for new comers to post on, the old one was getting LongSmile. Now if you could just get them to realise that they'd get a quicker answer to questions if they'll post them under there heading!Smile

Hi! I am new to the boards and just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Marie and I just posted in Kitchen Conversations for recipes on pablano peppers. I am looking forward to being a part of this community and getting a lot of great ideas. I have already tried quite a few recipes and they are fantastic! Hope to try many more! By the way, how do we get a picture in the box near our username? I don't see anywhere to be able to do that. Take care.

Hi everyone, I am Marywoo and have just joined.  I have a question right off.  I am wanting to make tomato salsa and I want to make quite a lot.  Is there a way to preserve it without it going bad, say for at least 6 months or so, i.e., hot water bath, or some form to seal the jars?

Hello, my name is Heather. I hope that someone can help me. I bake chewy choco cookies all the time, however they come out flatter than a pancake. I have tried increasing the baking soda, using more cookie dough, making huge balls of dough(this just makes a huge flatter than pancake cookie) but nothing seems to work. I live in SD, is it the altitude? How can I fix this. Noone else in town seems to have this problems. They get thick cookies. Hope someone has some suggestions.  Thanks

Hi everybody!  I love to cook and bake using whole grains. Making up concoctions (recipes) is my favorite past time. My husband hunts and we both fish so I don't buy much meat.  I grind my own hamburger and can northern pike.  I grow blackberries, strawberries and cherries.  Our peach tree blew over with the storms we had in Indiana.  I wish I could quit my job and have more time to garden and such.  Anyway I love to browse recipes for ideas and find ways to get healthy food into my family.

Hi!  I'm not sure but your butter may be too soft or melted or too much.  If you are using something like country crock could have the same affect.  Hope this helps.
