Yeast Measurements for traditional White Bread

Hi everyone!  I think it was AC who told me the answer to the question I'm about to ask.  I thought I wrote it down, or put in on my computer based recipes, or at the very least it's somewhere under one of the community sites but I can't find it anywhere! Embarrassed Very frustrating!!! Angry Anyway,  I have a recipe for white bread that, as I said, I think AC gave  me, it calls for (2) packages of quick-rise yeast.  The problem is this,  Instead of the packages, my husband bougt, to be exact; Fleischman's yeast.  It can be used in either a bread machine or oven and is rapid rise as well.  On the jar it states: "2 1/4 tsp bread machine yeast (1/4 oz.)=1 envelope rapidrise yeast (1/4 oz.)=1 cake fresh yeast(0.6).  So, if 1 envelope equals 1/4 oz.?  Can I measure out two (2) 1/4's to make it equal 2 packages of the yeast that the recipe calls for?  Also, the whole jar is 4 oz.  If anyone knows the answer, could you please post it like yesterday?  Like I said, this question was answered but I can't find the response anywhere.  Sorry to ask again!Huh?

Hi CS!  If the jar states that 2 1/2 tsp (1/4 oz) equals 1 env rapid yeast, then yes, just double it (5 tsp or 1/2 oz) if you need 2 pkgs rapid rise.

Hi AC,  I went ahead and made the bread figuring I had to be right, and it came out great.  How are ya?  I haven't heard from you what seems to be weeks!  Hope you're okay!    Thanks for the response, glad to know my instincts were right.  I guess I'm getting better at this, huh?  Take care!
